The Campus
-
A world-class resource for brands and their partners to move from concept to sample, faster than it has ever been done in the United States.
As a brand member, you can book closed time on the sample floor for exclusive access to technicians, equipment, and the testing lab. With secure storage, private brand suites, and strict IP protection, you can run proprietary innovation projects – and also participate in industry-wide innovation challenges when you choose. In a spacious kitchen, second-level event and studio space, and rooftop balcony, the Hub will come to life with a regular calendar of events, receptions, and seminars.
-
A dynamic ecosystem of industry-leading Tier 1 to Tier 4 material and process suppliers, specialty vendors, cutting-edge research labs, and brand offices.
Each floor has a kitchen, and may include dedicated private office space, showcasing space for vendors, open flexible desk space, a hands-on makerspace, bookable meeting space, workshop / lecture rooms, and industry-specific resources. Flexible lease terms and various space types are available.
-
The Engine will be the first campus building dedicated to finished goods manufacturing capabilities for both footwear and apparel.
At 10,000ft2 THE ENGINE will be home to one or two T1 suppliers. Through a partnership with the Port of Portland, special tax and tariff programs will provide advantages for domestic production.
“As somebody who both cares about her district and cares about the City of Portland and the state as a whole, creative ideas like that—that revitalize a part of the city that has really been neglected, if not abandoned for a long time, and do so in a way that meet a bunch of different goals simultaneously—are a very exciting prospect for me.”
